Dallas Pootlass is a proud member of the Nuxalk Nation and the founder of Indigenous Empowered Careers (IEC). With an MBA in Change Management and certifications in Strategic Intervention and Executive Coaching, Dallas has supported over 1,400 individuals across 27 organizations in transforming how they show up in their careers and leadership. His work is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: our people are already whole and already capable. Through Deadly Careers, Deadly Leadership, and Deadly Wellness, Dallas supports Indigenous people across Canada, the United States, and Mexico to move from just getting by to creating lives and careers that feel aligned, powerful, and real.

Dallas keeps his approach practical and real. Deadly Careers is built on a four-step system—Self, Team, Strategic, and Wellness Management—so people have a clear path forward instead of just abstract ideas. Deadly Leadership is grounded in four totems that shape how we lead with accountability, connection, and vision, without losing who we are. Finally, Deadly Wellness focuses on supporting the brain and nervous system, because if we’re not regulated, nothing else sticks. Dallas is deeply committed to normalizing abundance for our people and being the kind of support he once needed—someone who sees what’s possible and helps you step into it.
